Background and History
John Otho Yeiser IV is a fourth-generation inventor and can trace his family’s passion back to one of the first safety pins, invented by John Otho Yeiser Sr. in the 1700’s. Extending forward into future generations, his daughter, Aubree Yeiser, shares the family passion and is adding to the tally of John’s 500+ inventions.
Over the past twenty years, John’s business has grown into a multi-million-dollar enterprise developing products for various major retail outlets and categories – ranging from automotive to garden to beauty to kitchen to home décor. John has produced commercials for his products that have broadcast in over one hundred and twenty countries and generated over two hundred and fifty million dollars in revenue. He has made over a thousand televised live appearances in the US, the UK, Germany, Italy and Canada; and now John is accompanied by Aubree who is helping expand the company’s reach both in the US and internationally.
Products crafted by Yeiser Research & Development are not found in trade shows. John’s niche lies in sitting down with a buyer, assessing their specific category needs and inventing a product that is unique for the retailer, allowing the retailer to maintain margins while being extremely competitive in the market. He calls this targeted inventing – honing in on a specific category, recognizing a need, and inventing a product to fill that space.
Yeiser Research & Development’s state of the art approach melded with the old school inventing roots encompass all aspects of bringing a product to market: from an idea scribbled on a napkin, to prototyping, manufacturing, marketing and sales. The success at Yeiser Research & Development truly stems from the practiced talent to turn a thought into a concept into a finished product ready to ship to customers in months.
